Custard
Ingredients Required
1Apple,cut into slices or scored horizontally
Blackberries
1tbsp golden caster sugar
Butter
2large egg yolk
1tsp cornflour
300ml milk
1vanila pod,split
11/2 tbsp caster sugar
Method :
Preheat the oven to 190C
Put the blackberries into the hole left by the core of the apple to come three quarters of the way up the apple.Spoon over the sugar and butter.Put the apple into a shallow baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes depending on size of the apple.
Now to make the custard,whisk together the egg yolks and cornflour in a bowl,then set aside.Pour the milk into a pan,scrape the vanilla pod seeds into the milk and add the sugar.Gently bring to a simmer.Take the milk off the heat and add to the egg yolk little by little,whisking constantly until it is all combined.Tip the mixture back into the pan ans stir over a gentle heat until it coats the back of a wooden spoon.Now your custard and baked apple is ready ,so now you can serve it to guest .
